One Year and Still Going Strong!

in Oct 30, 2020

Wow! One whole year! The State Of Flux shop has now been blessed to be open for its very first year. And this would not have been possible without all the love and support from you guys. So, we truly thank you.

A whole year of being open has come with great memories, lessons learned and even a pandemic but most of all it has come with growth. The shop itself has grown exponentially over the past year from our equipment and machinery within the shop, to the products we have produced. Let alone us, each individual within our small team of four.

Just looking back on my personal growth over this past year with the shop it leaves me excited to see what this next year has in store for me. Last October, I hadn't even spent a single minute using a sewing machine. I had been sewing every article of clothing I altered by hand. Then came the day for us to go out to San Leandro to pick up three industrial sewing machines to add to our arsenal here at the shop. I remember being both excited and nervous to hop on a real machine and sew for the first time. And now months later I'm on the machines sewing any and everything I can get my hands on.

Over this past year at the shop we have created dozens of designs, worked on numerous tie-dye techniques, produced tons of samples and spent countless days both screen printing and sewing. And believe me, it's not always easy but that's life and this is what we love. Continuing to grow and move forward like there's no other option. State Of Flux is more than a brand...it's a lifestyle. We are all in a state of flux at numerous/countless points in our life but we must never break, never settle and never fold. The best teacher in life is our own experiences. So whatever you do keep your head up and stay strong.

Peace and blessings,

Jayrawn
