Outside Lands 2021 Recap

in Nov 3, 2021

Over the Halloween weekend, the SOF crew was fortunate enough to vend at San Francisco’s very own Outside Lands. We set up shop in the West Coast Crafts section of the festival, and offered a handful of State Of Flux products like hoodies, tees, hats, and beanies to the 200,000+ concert-goers.

Our location was centrally located and right across from the House by Heineken where we got a chance to hear DJ sets from artists like, Sango and Kelis. In addition, we were closest to Lands End Stage, which was the main stage that hosted some of the biggest acts of the weekend: Amine, Nelly, The Strokes, Lizzo, and Tame Impala, just to name a few.

With such a great location, the foot traffic near our booth was relentless - in a good way! We got to meet so many new (and even a few old) supporters all while sharing our story and outfitting hundreds of people in State Of Flux gear. We appreciate everyone that took the time out of the busy festival schedule to stop by our booth and connect with us.

For the SOF team, our work didn't start a few days before the festival. We were busy prepping for the event all month! True to our nature, we produced pretty much everything we offered at the show in our workshop. This consisted of many hours of screen-printing, sewing, folding, unfolding and much more as we formulated our plan of execution for Outside Lands. Once the production was finished, we set up a mock booth in our workshop. This included setting up booth shelving and displays for the products all while working within a 8x8 foot square space. At the festival, this would ultimately serve as our shop away from our actual shop.

The festival weekend was full of long hours of prep, followed by long hours of work, with some fun and excitement sprinkled in. So, once again, THANK YOU to everyone that stopped by our set up at Outside Lands 2021. As always, we appreciate the support.

Much Love,

John Manning.
