During this quarantine, I found myself trying to support as many small businesses as possible. Whether it be the corner store for rolling papers and a bottle of Bombay or one of the small markets here in the Mission for some avocados and fresh squeezed OJ. Even when it came to online shopping I found myself trying to support as many small businesses as well.
One small streetwear brand that I came across and stood out to me was Chrle. With a small team of three, Chrle. is designed and produced out of Los Angeles. I came across LA rapper, J.R Cruise wearing one of their "Choosey Lover" long sleeve shirts in a music video I knew I had to have one. I did some digging around and was able to find out the shirt was by Chrle. Their previous Winter and 2019 ComplexCon drops each had some unique pieces that caught my eye, varying from simple clean tees sporting their Chrle. logo to long sleeves, hoodies, crewnecks and a button up. Most of their winter drop now seems to be pretty much sold out but I was lucky enough to support and grab a couple shirts at the beginning of quarantine. On the bright side, they just released their Spring/Summer 2020 collection which includes an airbrush long sleeve tee, tote bag and more. I suggest you check out their website Chrle.com and grab what you can now. I can see this small brand out of LA getting big in the future.
With State of Flux being a small team of four, it's easy to relate to what this brand Chrle. must have been experiencing during this whole pandemic. Showing support to small businesses is crucial and important during these times. Some may not be able to make it out of this pandemic. I hope you all too support whatever small businesses you can during these times.
